Once the design has been created, whether that be a complete site or application or just a few screen view designs, the interactions and design itself should be documented. This important last step is quite often overlooked, yet is one of the most valuable tools as a project goes from design into the next phase, Development.
Documentation can be presented in various forms from use cases to a UI Specification document and will generally incorporate some of the discovery work plus, sitemap information, screen content information, interactional callouts and task flows to create a document that is informative and useful.
